What is Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C of Medicare, is a way to package together all of your Medicare benefits. These plans come in all shapes and sizes and are issued through private insurance companies. These plans use doctor networks and are offered in HMO and PPO varieties.
Who Qualifies?
Anyone who has Medicare Part A and Part B and lives in the plan's service area.
There are special plans available for individuals with certain chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease. These plans are categorized as "Chronic Special Needs Plans," or C-SNP. These plans will lower overall costs and add additional benefits.
There are also special plans available for individuals with both Medicare and Medicaid. These plans are categorized as "Dual Special Needs Plans," or D-SNP. These plans will cut down medical costs significantly and add extra benefits like utilities and healthy food allowances.

There are a number of plans available for $0 per month. Medicare Advantage is affordable for anyone.
When Can I Sign Up?
Upon turning 65 and/or getting Medicare Parts A & B, you get a free window to sign up for any plan available to you.
During the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct. 15th-Dec. 7th)
You can sign up for a 5-Star plan at any time throughout the year.
Certain individuals may qualify for additional Special Enrollment Periods throughout the year.
